Welcome to The EduWhiz - where we are shaping the Future of Education altogether
In today’s rapidly changing world, education needs a new approach—one that places mindset at the core of every learning experience. Mindset isn’t just about what we teach, but how we think about teaching and learning. It’s the secret to unlocking innovation, adaptability, and sustainability in education.
At The Eduwhiz - Newsletter by Ylab Vietnam & Fundamental Decisions Singapore, our goal is to help schools, educational institutions, and parents—especially those homeschooling—unlock untapped potential through mindset-driven education. Based on years of research, behavior studies, and real-world experiments, we know that shaping the right mindset in students, educators, and leaders is the key to fostering sustainable growth.
So….
Why is Mindset the Key to the future of Education?
Every successful learning journey is built on three core pillars:
Mindset: The set of attitudes and beliefs that shape how we perceive and approach challenges. Mindset is what makes obstacles feel like opportunities for growth, fostering resilience and curiosity.
Skillset: The practical tactics, abilities and competencies we develop to solve problems. Mindset guides how we use our skillset, what specific skillset to look for and when
Character: The values and traits that define the nature of how we act on what we’ve learned, ensuring we navigate challenges with integrity.
Together, mindset guides the approach to learning, skillset provides the means to learn and apply, and character governs the way individuals act on what they learn. Together, these pillars provide the foundation for a holistic, adaptive learning experience.
It’s time to move beyond content delivery and foster genuine engagement. The right mindset, combined with consistent energy, will be the foundation of this transformation.
I invite you to join us as we explore how to rethink and reshape education for a sustainable future. The coming articles will slowly introduce ideas and concept around the 3 pillars, and expand your horizon on how we could innovate education. Each chapter, like each step in a journey, builds upon the last, expanding our vision and challenging us to think not only about current student needs but also about the future world they’ll enter.
To kick off this journey, We're excited to introduce our first series, "Unlocking the Future of Learning: Mindset-Driven Adaptive Growth." Series 2: Our Signature - Personalized Report & Its In-house Sensors
In Series 1, we explored mindset-driven adaptive growth—why education must shift from a skillset-first approach to a mindset-first foundation. We introduced the idea that learning is not static—students, educators, and even institutions must evolve continuously to stay ahead of the curve.
But here’s the real challenge: How do we measure that growth? How do we track not just what students learn, but how they think, adapt, and make decisions over time?
That’s where our signature solution comes in: The Personalized Report & Its In-House Sensors.
This isn’t another standardized assessment. It’s a living, breathing system designed to track mindset and skillset development in action—capturing real-time behaviors, decision-making patterns, and cognitive adaptability. It gives schools, educators, and parents an unprecedented level of clarity into how students (and even organizations) grow over time.
What is series 2 about?
In Series 2, we’re pulling back the curtain on our signature innovation—the Personalized Report & In-House Sensors—a breakthrough approach to measuring real growth beyond academics.
For years, education has been obsessed with grades and standardized scores, yet these numbers fail to capture the real essence of a student’s mindset, character, adaptability, and decision-making abilities—the very things that determine success in life.
Our Personalized Report is built on years of behavioral research, social experiments, and psychological insights, designed to decode the non-academic dimensions of learning—how students think, react, adapt, and evolve over time.
Meanwhile, our in-house sensors act as an intelligent feedback system, tracking dynamic traits and providing real-time evaluation of cognitive and behavioral growth.
Why This Matters More Than Ever
What if traditional evaluations are missing the most important indicators of success?
A high-achieving student may still struggle with social engagement, adaptability and problem-solving.
A "slow learner" may have exceptional resilience, creativity, and critical thinking—yet it’s never measured.
A school may have great test scores, but are its students truly future-ready?
Education needs a bigger lens. One that captures real growth and translates it into meaningful action.

The point that spoke to me is the fact that schools use an outdated system of assessment. It fails to focus on the mindset, skill set and character, but instead rewards you on how much you can mug-up. I have seen many school toppers who are just ‘nobodys’ now, and kids who used to be reprimanded due to bad grades acing in life.
The need of the hour for schools in my opinion, is not just to focusing on penalising the Goldfish cause it couldn’t climb the tree, but instead to help identify the strengths and talents the child has been gifted with.
I agree with this approach: Mindset -> Skillset -> Character.
It’s like a transformation from self-development to contributing to the community.
